1999
Reindeer Kindergarten was established.
Reindeer got the first pet dog, A-Boo.
Reindeer’s social workers went to save six different-aged children with police officers.
It was the first emergency that we rushed to buy a feeding bottle for an abandoned baby.
Reindeer’s social worker went to Yangmei police station to pick up a baby who was abandoned by its father.

2000
At that time, the government would pass the buck around if children had no registration. When the children were not registered as residents, they became human balls and petitioned the Household registration office to become the first organization in the country to allow them to take the dean’s last name.
When children went out, teachers would bring recording machines to record their voices and memories.
Teachers would open the TV for children, so that they can learn how to dance every morning. Teachers would also help them to dress up, so they could go out with confidence.

2001
When the first child was adopted, all of teachers, the president and the director burst into tears.
It was the first time for the president to bring three homeless children back during Chinese New Year.

2002
After receiving a three-day-old baby from hospital, Reindeer’s social worker found that  the baby’s mother only fed it bananas and Yakult.
After the conduction of Child and Youth Welfare and Domestic Violence Prevention Act, the total number of children placement raised 20% every year and the accommodation became inadequate.

2003
Reindeer started to look for a new place in Dayuan from succeeding on the third try.
Because of the inadequate accommodation, our initial is building a rescue unit to offer children the protection placement, looking forward to seeing those children could go back to primary family earlier and adapt to society successfully.

2004
The social worker found a baby girl wrapped in a plastic bag and lost body temperature in an empty house. Reindeer took good care of her for a year, she became very cute and was adopted.
he social worker found a little baby boy in the hallway of the restaurant. Reindeer took good care of him for a year. Then, he was adopted.
Reindeer also had early childhood intervention courses with Taoshin Hospital in our place.

2005
Due to the special needs of three children, doctors did not recommend change the environment. Therefore, the president applied to change the agency into long-term placement facility.

2007
Reindeer’s social workers showed the first Swedish adoptive parents around the child’s living environment in Taiwan.
The child was not so popular at first but end up she went to Sweden. The adoptive parents took a good care of her, she turned out to be beautiful.

2008
Reindeer moved to Dayuan.
Suddenly, there were 50 children and teenagers flocked to Reindeer.
In the beginning, social workers were at their wits’ end because of the first batch of children. Nonetheless, this batch of children went back to Reindeer most often.
After moving to Dayuan, Reindeer had become a long-term placement facility.
A 11-year-old child, who had run away from his former placement facility 18 times, finally settled down in Reindeer.
Reindeer had to prepare more than 40 lunch boxes a day during the school day. We drove the Delica to pick up the children every day, the door was even crooked.

2009
Reindeer’s construction cost was finally paid off not until this year.
There was a rumor between children, “You don’t have to run away, because teachers will find you wherever you are.”
Reindeer’s door was always open day and night because the children felt calm in Reindeer.
After the outbreak of H1N1, three teachers worked overtime for 2 consecutive weeks to take care of 30 infected children. They turned office into the quarantine area for children; fortunately, all the children recovered.

2010
Counseling teachers from other school came to visit Reindeer, they were surprised that we could take care of over a hundred children at the same time.
Renovating the house in Dayuan from a dormitory type to a small home atmosphere to follow the trend of social welfare.
Starting to hire the professional full-time registered professional nurse. Because the president was major in nursing, she knew how important the individual health management was to each child.

2012
To provide a more professional care, three women went studying for a master’s degrees in social worker. They said jokingly, “It was because we don’t know how to become a better social worker manager.”
Preschoolers went to kindergarten and know about the differences between home and school.
Having taken over the supervised visitation program from Taoyuan City Government till now.

2013
The first girl left Reindeer when she was 18, and she went to study for a bachelor’s degree in social worker.
The first girl who left Reindeer because she got admission to the department of nursing. 
The first placement-extended case happened; Reindeer provided semi-independent living help for the child.
Start to hire the full-time psychologist to pay more attention on solving children’s traumatic problems.
Reindeer has been moving towards foundations.

2014
A girl was not willing to be adopted because she thought there is only hamburger in western country and all her friends were in Taiwan.
The first girl who left Reindeer for serving in the army.
Reindeer went camping in Jinshan, New Taipei City for the first family trip.
Reindeer held the first International Conference on Taiwan& Hong Kong Child and Adolescent Protection and Supervised Visitation.

2015
Reindeer have started over with attentiveness and profession.
Children were lack in confidence while shopping in store. Thus, we released “R Token” and opened a “Friday Store”
Reindeer taught children how to save and manage money.Furthermore, to define the differences between their wants and needs.

2016
The Employees Supporting Project: We provided our teachers counseling to reset their mind.
What do we expect from children? We had a period of questioning we should raise them in gentle way, poor way or rich way.

2017
Think outside of the box let the children live in reality.

2018
Since we realized that “Independence Training” is important to children, Reindeer started the “Farm Education.”

2019
Low-birth rate in Taiwan has become a serious issue so that we hope the child could stay in Taiwan It was the first time that child was adopted and stayed in Taiwan.
The first adopted child went back to Taiwan to find his root.
Reindeer recruited dietitians for the first time. Not only to heal children’s mind but also to adjust the diets to improve their physical conditions, like congenital insufficient height and poor health.

2020
Reindeer moved to Yangmei.
We divided those children in two groups based on their gender in order to conduct independence training.
Reindeer emphasizes on talent cultivation and hopes that children can get transferable skills from Reindeer.
